Robert Jackson is the Founder and President of Adaptive Asset Management. He developed the firm’s proprietary investment strategies and executes them for the firm’s clients. Prior to founding Adaptive he was a Partner of a very successful Canadian investment firm that provided innovative solutions for some of Canada’s largest pension plans as well as high net-worth individuals. He has over 20 years of investment experience. Mr. Jackson holds a Master of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario. He is a member of the Toronto CFA Society and the Chicago Quantitative Alliance. He is registered with the Ontario Securities Commission as a Portfolio Manager.
Ali Jina is responsible for investment research and advanced portfolio solutions at Adaptive. Previously Mr. Jina was a key member of the Capital Markets Group of a large Chicago-based global consulting firm where his role involved consulting and trading on behalf of clients. Mr. Jina holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designations. He has a Masters of Mathematics and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Richard Cortese is responsible for the management of the Fixed Income portfolios at Adaptive. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, he was a senior member of the Canadian Fixed Income Team at Manulife Asset Management where he was responsible for developing the investment strategy with a focus on corporate debt. He has over 35 years of investment experience. Mr. Cortese holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA.) designation. He has a Master’s of Business Administration from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario.
